RCHS was one of only four high schools in the country to receive a Telly Award this year in the Non-Broadcast Student category.

“We are thrilled with the news of this award. It is a testament to our commitment to provide high-level, innovative training opportunities for our students”, Jones said.

“The Audio/Visual Production program at the school is only four years old,” said A/V teacher Keith McDaniel. “For my students to be acknowledged with this award for their hard work and expertise in video production and storytelling is very rewarding.”

He added, ”Since the Telly Award is coveted by industry professionals, I’m very proud of my students and the program we have built here at Roane County High School.”
