DECA is an international student organization that prepares students to be leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.
As a DECA member, students are able to compete against their peers in district, state, and
national competitions. RCHS had TWENTY students that qualified for the state competition in Chattanooga this March. We also have several students who have the opportunity to travel to Chattanooga and participate in leadership workshops. It is a BIG deal for students to qualify for state. It involves taking a 100 question test and a scored business role-play presented to a judge. Our students embraced the opportunity to step outside their comfort zone.
The registration fee for a student that advances to the state level is $100. On top of the $50 annual membership dues and the $20 registration fee for district competition.
