HBCU a passport to success

Please read this important information from the Oak Ridge Alumnae Chapter President:

"The Oak Ridge Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. invites our students to participate in the 2023 Historically Black Colleges and Universities College

Exposition (HBCU College Expo). The event will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023. The
time: 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The location is the Goff Building on the Roane State
Community College campus in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The event will be hybrid.

The 2023 HBCU Expo theme is “HBCUs: Passport to Success.” The goal of the HBCU College Expo is to inform middle and high school students of the unique opportunities available at HBCU institutions. This year’s HBCU College Expo will feature HBCU Colleges and Universities from the eastern half of the United States. College representatives from these schools, and a panel of young people who have attended an HBCU, will give virtual presentations that discuss the Application process, Scholarships, Admission deadlines, Majors, Campus Orientation, and Student Life. In addition, there will be in-person workshops on ACT Preparation, Financial Aid, and Personal Health and Safety Tips. There will also be performances by talented youth in the area."

Students, if you are interested in participating, please let Ms. King, Ms. Tedder, or Ms. Alred know as soon as possible.  The registration deadline is October 7th.
