Seniors: Balfour will return on Friday, November 9, to take orders.

Shutterbugs meeting will be today at 3:30 in Mrs. Holmes’ room. The contest is fall Color.

DECA is collecting slightly used coats for Knox Area Ministries Coats for the Cold Campaign. If you or your family would like to donate children or adult coats, hoodies, or lightweight jackets please see Mr. Pickell in building B room 301.
There will be an FBLA meeting on Friday, November 9th at 7:50 in room 325. All members need to attend.

Hats, caps, bandanas, hoods, sweatbands, sunglasses, etc. are not to be worn inside the buildings.

FCCLA will be collecting wrapping paper, tape, name tags, ink pens, and cash donations for “Operation Reach” this year. Help make a child have a merrier holiday season this year with your generous support. Please bring donations to Room 305 Bldg. B until November 30th, 2012.

Science Bowl teams will begin meeting next week in Mrs. Holmes’ room. We will meet on Tuesdays after school until 4:15 and Thursdays before school  at 7:45. Please come to at least one meeting next week if you want to be on the team.

Veterans are invited to come on November 12th for an assembly to honor and recognize our veterans. Students need to pick up a sign- up form in the library. This needs to be returned by the 8th.

The deadline for Roane Writers Contest has been extended to 11/30/12.

There will be a Training and Educational Institutions representing potential candidates for Electrical Apprenticeship…….must be 18 years of age or older….must be a high school graduate or have a GED…..have a full credit in Algebra….

Congratulations to our football team for defeating Polk County in the first round of the state playoffs, 49 to 14. The football program would like to thank the cheerleaders, the band and all the fans that traveled to the game in support of our team.  We will play at CAK this Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the second round of the state playoffs.

There will be a DECA meeting on Wednesday, November 7 at 8:00 am in Mr. Pickell’s room. All DECA members need to attend.

Any Student who takes the property of another person (backpacks, gym bags, purses, etc.) with the intent to taunt / tease, horseplay or harass will be suspended to MEC.

Please remember you CAN NOT wear any kind of tight fitting leggings or jeggings to school.

The Drama Club/Theater class will present an original play by Noah Raymer called Jerk of the Century on Thursday May 10th at 6:30 in the auditorium.  We will also show 2 original films and have skits.  Pre-sale tickets are $2 and the night of the play it will be $3.  Students can buy tickets next week during lunch or come by Mr. Burts room 106.

Mandatory play practice will be held Monday through Thursday next week after school until 5pm in Mr. Burts room 106.  Thanks.
