PSAT/NMSOT Test

The PSAT/NMSQT Test – Wednesday, October 12, 2011 – will be available to 10th and 11th grade students this year.  The cost of the test is $14.00 (checks made to RCHS).  Fees must be paid to Mr. Plemons in Guidance before Sept. 1st.  This test is very challenging and was developed for students with a strong academic background.  Eleventh graders’ scores will be competitive on a national basis for National Merit Scholarships.

My Coke Rewards for Schools Program

Help make great things happen for Roane County High School.

Our school has joined the My Coke Rewards for Schools program. This means by drinking Coca-Cola products, your family can get My Coke Rewards points and donate them to help our school.

Your donations will go towards rewards like sport equipment that will help our students learn, play, and have fun.

It’s easy to donate:

1. Purchase your favorite Coca-Cola products to get codes.
2. Go to mycokerewards.com/school and sign in (register if you aren’t a member).
3. Enter your codes to collect points. Then search for our school to donate points.
4. Enter the amount of points you’d like to give, then click “Donate”.

Food City School Buck$

Helping our school has never been easier!

Since 1990, Food City has donated millions to area schools. And helping Food City help our school this year is easier than ever!

To participate in the Food City School Bucks Program, Roane County High School has registered with Food City. When you shop at Food City, use the Roane County High School’s ID #40678 and your ValuCard. Now when you shop, Food City will donate school bucks to Roane County High School. It’s that easy!

Take a look a the information provided to Roane County High School by Food City. It is important that you have our school’s ID number on your first purchase. After that, both you and Roane County High School benefit every time you use your ValuCard. Please help. Thank you.

SchooHoo Alert System

The school system and Roane County High School use Schoohoo when sending out school related messages.
To receive alerts you must subscribe to our FREE school alert system.
The process is easy and you can unsubscribe at anytime.
The system is very beneficial because it can be used to alert parents of school closings, early dismissals and other important school announcements through email and/or text messages.
Text messaging is free through Schoohoo, but be aware that cell phone service providers may charge for text messages.

To begin, you will need to go to the Schoohoo website and subscribe.
On the home page you will first select “Receive Alerts”.
Second, you will need to select “Click Here” for a free account.

Fill in the *required information.
After typing in your email address, you will create a password.  Do not use your email account password.  The password you provide will be specific to your Schoohoo account.
Be sure to select a user type, such as “Parent/Guardian”.
At the bottom you will see “Find a School to Subscribe to”.  Type in Roane County High School and select “Find”.
In the box will appear “TN: Roane County High School, Kingston”.
Select “Subscribe to Selected School”.
Select “Save My Account”.
You are now in our school alert system.
